RSGB Convention 2022

The RSGB is delighted to be planning an in-person Convention again on the weekend of 7-9 October 2022. The Society will also livestream some of the presentations in a new hybrid event format. Workshop for Amateur Radio Operators Working to Advance Science

join HamSCI, the Ham Radio Science Citizen Investigation, at its fifth annual workshop, taking place on 18-19 March 2022 at the U.S. Space and Rocket Centre in Huntsville, Alabama.

HamSCI is a community of amateur radio operators working together to advance science—now a member of the NASA citizen science community!

The HamSCI workshop brings together the amateur radio community and professional scientists to advance ionospheric, radio, and space science. This year’s theme is “The Weather Connection”! The program includes presentations and demonstrations from NASA’s heliophysics division, the NASA RadioJOVE project, and the HamSCI Personal Space Weather Station team. Invited speakers include Dr. Tamitha Skov speaking on “The Ionospheric Impacts of Space Weather and our Heightened Awareness of its Effects on Society”, Mr. Jim Bacon speaking on “Influences of Terrestrial Weather on Radio Propagation and the Ionosphere”, and Dr. Chen-Pang Yeang speaking on “Ham Radio and the Discovery of the Ionosphere”.

RSGB AGM 2022 Online

The RSGB Annual General Meeting on Saturday, 23 April 2022 will, once again, be held online.

Members will be able to submit questions in advance for RSGB Board Directors to answer.

Announcement and recipients of the RSGB annual awards and trophies, as well as the winners of the Construction Competition, will be announced.

The RSGB President will give his review of 2021 and there will be an excellent presentation after the formal business of the day.
