VK Licence Conditions Changes
The ACMA Spectrum Licence Policy Section has implemented an amendment to the licence conditions for VK amateurs. This came into effect on 21 September and varies all 3 licence classes.
The principle changes for Advanced and Standard licence holders are the removal of bandwidth restrictions for frequencies from 1.8 MHz and above. However, the big winners are Foundation licence holders with mode and equipment restrictions being removed. This means a Foundation licence holder can now use computer-generated modes and they are no longer limited to using only commercially manufactured radios.
Frequency allocations and power outputs remain unchanged for all licence classes.
